It looks like a table. look again.

These two ugly doors laid on their side and custom fit to my sewing machine table , are where my sewing career started, and I sewed on them for about the first 7 years of my business.

I came from a completely different trade, but when I was over 50 years old I decided I needed a brand new career and direction. I wrestled with what to do for months on end. I finally decided on this, bought a sewing machine, and launched a new career. I couldn’t sew, it took me a couple of hours to thread the machine first time up. Never mind all that… today, I sew, I have a very simple business plan - answer the phone and sew. Truth is, I sew everything that I make, with my own hands.

The good news is I like to work.

The not so great news is, when I say ‘we’, I mean myself, my web designer, my bookkeeper and accountant, and a little help from my friends. :)
